Graduate student in Peace and Conflict Research in Turku. My life is about understanding the roots of violence and the paths to peace. My reading habits reflect this—I focus on international relations, human rights memoirs, and contemporary world fiction that tackles identity and trauma. I believe that empathy is a radical act and literature is the best training for it. My profile is a thoughtful, academic space: university seminars, the river Aura, and reviews of books that challenge our biases. I’m an advocate for refugee rights and plan to work for an international peace-building organization. I spend my free time rowing and reading. Future optimist.
