Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who celebrated his 60th birthday on March 14, 2025, has publicly confirmed his relationship with long-time friend Gauri Spratt during a media interaction in Mumbai ahead of his 60th birthday. He jokingly mentioned:
Dekha kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko.
In a light-hearted moment during the media interaction, Aamir sang 'Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein' from the 1976 film "Kabhi Kabhie" while holding Gauri's hand, showcasing the depth of their bond.
Aamir and Gauri have been acquaintances for over 25 years, but their romantic involvement began approximately 18 months ago. The couple's relationship blossomed organically after they reconnected during one of Gauri's visits to Mumbai. There is a 14-year-old difference between the couple. Aamir shared:
She happened to be in Mumbai and we met accidentally, we kept in touch, and then it all happened organically.
Who is Gauri?
Gauri Spratt was born and raised in Bengaluru, where she has lived most of her life. Rita Spratt, the owner of a downtown salon, is her mother. According to her LinkedIn profile, Gauri attended Blue Mountain School. In 2004, she enrolled at the University of the Arts, London, to study FDA Styling & Photography. She began her career in 2005 and worked as a partner at Marmalade till 2010.
After that, Gauri became a Partner, Director, and Head of Design at 3'C Tex Pvt Ltd, a company situated in Bengaluru. She has also been employed at The Leather Boutique as a buyer and consultant designer. Before relocating to Mumbai, Gauri was a partner and director at a Bengaluru BBlunt salon.
She is also a mother of a six-year-old son and has recently started collaborating professionally with Aamir's production company.

Gauri has not been extensively involved in the Bollywood scene and has watched only a few of Aamir's films, including 'Lagaan' and 'Dangal'. Aamir noted that Gauri doesn't quite understand the "superstar" image attached to him, viewing him simply as her partner. Gauri has met Aamir's family, including his children from previous marriages, and his close friends, such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. According to reports, a journalist jokingly asked Aamir if Salman should also find a "Gauri"—a fun reference to the fact that both Shah Rukh Khan and now Aamir have partners named Gauri. Aamir, with a smile and a sigh, responded, "Salman kya dhoondhega ab?"
Family's Reaction And Acceptance
Reflecting on his past, Aamir acknowledged the enriching experiences from his previous marriages. He was first married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. His second marriage was to filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they have a son named Azad. Despite their separations, Aamir maintains amicable relationships with both ex-wives, co-parenting their children.
I’ve been fortunate to be in a strong relationship. Like, Reena and I spent 16 years together, and then Kiran and I spent 16 years together, and in many ways, we are still together. I’ve learnt so much and it’s been very enriching. With Gauri, I feel settled. My kids are very happy. I am very fortunate to have such great relationships with my ex-wives.
Is Marriage in the Plan?
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have expressed that they are in a serious, committed relationship. However, when questioned about marriage plans, Aamir remarked:
I don't know... at the age of 60, mujhe shaadi shobha deti hai ki nahi (if it appears alright to get married).
Upcoming Project
Aamir's upcoming film is Sitaare Zameen Par, a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, which served as his directorial debut. According to the actor, RS Prasanna's Sitaare Zameen Par will be out in June. Additionally, Aamir is producing Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, which stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
