Three inmates fled from the Jammu juvenile observation home in RS Pura on Monday, injuring two guards on duty. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m., with one of the escapees brandishing a pistol to threaten staff.
The police identified the escapees as Karajeet Singh, a resident of Dablehar RS Pura, and Mohd Suna-ullah and Ahsan Anwar, both Pakistani nationals.
The group allegedly assaulted the guards on duty and managed to slip out of the facility before security personnel could respond. The injured officers were provided medical attention, and an investigation has been initiated.
Special teams have been formed to trace the inmates, with raids carried out at multiple locations in an effort to locate the absconding trio.
Footage circulating online reportedly shows the inmates attacking security personnel, with two Pakistan nationals among the three who fled.
