Three people died in a road accident in Alakhnur, near Raibag, in Belagavi district on February 18. On the bike were Gireppa Kundrali, his wife Manjula, and their son Aradhya, who were travelling from a village in Maharashtra to Jamkhandi when they were crushed under a lorry. The crash occurred on a highway section just outside the town, and the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Haroorgeri police station personnel reached the spot and initiated the usual procedural steps. The families of the deceased are being identified, and a case has been registered against the lorry driver as investigations continue to determine the precise cause of the collision.
