Barry Manilow Delays Las Vegas Shows Amid Cancer Recovery Progress
Barry Manilow postpones May Las Vegas residency as he recovers from lung cancer, with doctors saying he's making progress but not yet ready to perform.
Barry Manilow has again postponed his Las Vegas residency as he works his way back from a lung cancer diagnosis. In an update to fans, he said doctors reported that he is making great progress and that he looks great, but he is not yet ready to perform on the Vegas stage. The May shows at Westgate Las Vegas have been postponed as he continues his recovery.
Manilow was diagnosed with a cancerous spot on his lung late last year and underwent surgery to remove it. He had been set to kick off his 2026 farewell tour in January, but had to push back dates in February and again later as he needed more time to recover. The Vegas residency and the Northwest U.S. leg of the tour were also delayed. He is now cancer-free and aiming to return to touring in June, the same month he plans to release his first new album in nearly 15 years, What a Time.
