Poonam Dhillon Hospitalized with Dengue Amid CINTAA Controversy!

Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon, president of the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being diagnosed with dengue. The beloved star has been battling the illness for about a week but is now reportedly recovering well and is expected to be discharged soon.
Dhillon confirmed her improving health on August 22, Saturday, stating, "I am getting better, hope to get out tomorrow." Her hospitalization, however, comes at a tumultuous time for CINTAA, following a major internal dispute.
Just days before her admission, eight executive committee members, along with other members, resigned from their posts. They cited a "loss of confidence" in the organization's leadership and demanded fresh elections to ensure transparency and accountability. The resigning members include prominent figures like Hemant Pandey, Mukesh Rishi, Sahila Chadha, Hetal Parmar, Puneet Issar, Vindu Dara Singh, Vikas Verma, and Deepak Parashar.
These members have accused the leadership, particularly Dhillon, senior vice president Padmini Kolhapure, and a few others, of increasingly centralizing CINTAA's functioning. They allege that decisions were made unilaterally, without consulting the executive committee, thereby nullifying the principle of collective responsibility. CINTAA general secretary Upasana Singh also corroborated claims that 11 members, including the eight executive committee members, had submitted resignations along with complaints alleging misuse of positions by Dhillon and Kolhapure.
While the legal counsel for CINTAA has clarified that the executive committee's allegations have not been fully processed, the controversy continues to stir the industry. As Poonam Dhillon recuperates, the focus remains on both her health and the unfolding drama within CINTAA.
