The wait is finally over for thousands of engineering aspirants across India as IIT Roorkee officially declared the JEE Advanced 2026 results this Monday. This year’s exam has once again proven to be a tough nut to crack, but some exceptional students have risen to the challenge with flying colors.
Leading the pack is Shubham Kumar, who secured the prestigious All India Rank (AIR) 1 by scoring a massive 330 out of 360 marks. Right on his heels were Kabeer Chhillar in second place with 329 marks and Jatin Chahar in third with 319. Shubham, who prepared for two grueling years, expressed his delight, saying his hard work truly paid off. He mentioned being hopeful that his dedication would lead to a good rank, but reaching the very top has made him incredibly happy.
On the women's side, Arohi Deshpande emerged as the female topper with an impressive AIR 77, scoring 280 marks. The overall statistics show that out of the 1,79,694 candidates who took the exam, a total of 56,880 managed to qualify. This group includes 10,107 female candidates who have successfully cleared one of the country's most difficult entrance tests.
If you are one of the successful candidates, the journey doesn't end here. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling is scheduled to begin tomorrow, June 2. This process will determine which of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology you'll be calling home for the next few years.
