Verstappen, driving his Red Bull car, lost control, spun violently, and slammed into the concrete wall. His smashed vehicle then bounced back onto the circuit. Reflecting on the incident, Verstappen later explained, “It was still quite wet in that corner. As soon as I went there, I could see a dry line coming, I thought I could accelerate but it went a lot, it caught me out, tried to correct it, hit the wall. It could've been a lot worse because there were a lot of cars behind me, but that all went well.”
Despite the early chaos involving the home hero, the race continued to be action-packed, culminating in Lando Norris securing a spectacular victory from pole position. Kimi Antonelli and George Russell rounded out the podium, making for an unforgettable Dutch Grand Prix.
