Post Malone has postponed the start of his 2026 Big Ass Stadium Tour 2 with Jelly Roll and canceled several early dates. The star announced on social media that he wants to complete a forthcoming double album before hitting the road in earnest. The move affects the first six scheduled North American dates, effectively shrinking the initial leg of the tour.
Originally set to begin May 13 at El Paso’s Sun Bowl Stadium, the run had planned stops in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford, Mississippi. In addition to the cancellations, Malone and Jelly Roll have three festival appearances to fulfill in the interim.
The tour will now officially begin three and a half weeks later than planned, in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 9. The remaining festival dates will proceed as planned, serving as a bridge while the artists finalize new music. Despite ongoing chatter about ticket sales, Malone cited the need to finish his upcoming album as the primary reason for axing the initial dates and slowing the schedule.
Malone hinted at a new 40-track project last year and has discussed a title for the forthcoming double album, The Eternal Buzz. While no new release date has been announced, the artist emphasized the promise of fresh music for his fans, saying the delay is a necessary step to deliver a better, more complete record before touring again.
Fans are watching closely to see how the delay affects momentum and ticket demand for the Charlotte show and the rest of the planned run. In the meantime, concert-goers can expect a postponed but potentially larger showcase later in the summer as Malone works toward the new project and a revised tour plan.
