Delhi Schools Rocked by Bomb Threats! Students Evacuated Amidst Panic

Delhi experienced a wave of alarm this week as multiple schools across the capital received disturbing bomb threats via email. The incidents prompted immediate and widespread evacuations, sending ripples of concern through the city's academic community and among parents.

On Tuesday morning, prominent institutions such as The British School, Sanskriti School, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya were among those targeted.

These threats, received around 10:30-10:45 AM, initiated urgent security responses.

Some of the threatening emails included specific warnings, such as advice not to travel on the metro until September 29, and threats against courts and police stations across the capital, adding another layer of severity to the situation.

Upon receiving the threats, school authorities acted swiftly to ensure the safety of their students and staff, initiating immediate evacuations. Police and emergency services responded rapidly, deploying teams of Delhi Police personnel, bomb detection and disposal squads, and sniffer dogs to the affected premises.

Fire tenders and ambulances were also kept on standby as a precautionary measure, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the security response.

Extensive anti-sabotage checks were carried out across the evacuated schools. Thankfully, as of the latest reports, nothing suspicious has been found during these thorough searches. Authorities are now focusing on reviewing the threatening emails and are actively working to identify the sender or senders behind these unsettling messages.

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, for instance, informed parents that all students had been safely evacuated and that police were taking necessary steps.

The school also addressed concerns regarding ongoing examinations, stating they would assess the situation before making a decision on rescheduling.

For many students, Tuesday marked the first day of their half-yearly examinations, which were abruptly interrupted by the security alert.
