Delhi blast update: Umar Nabi CCTV clues, two FIRs against Al-Falah University

Investigators say Nabi was seen getting a phone repaired, then later acquiring an i20 car in Faridabad’s Sector 37 before moving toward Delhi. The probe has now expanded with the Delhi Police registering a second FIR to explore a deeper conspiracy, while the first FIR was transferred to a national agency for handling. Separately, two new FIRs have been filed against Al-Falah University on charges of cheating and forgery, accusing the institution of false accreditation claims and producing forged documents to deceive the UGC and NAAC. These cases come after serious irregularities flagged by the UGC and NAAC prompted scrutiny of the university. In the broader operation, three doctors from the university’s medical faculty were detained, connected to a wider investigation into a so‑called white-collar terror module. Authorities say nearly 3,000 kg of explosives were seized in related searches, reflecting the scale of the probe. Umar Nabi was last seen at Al-Falah University on October 29, where he reportedly repaired his phone and obtained the Hyundai i20 used in the attack. The car exploded near the Red Fort on November 10, killing at least 12 people, with investigators pursuing possible links between Nabi, his associates, and the university network as part of the ongoing multi‑agency inquiry.
