You might be wondering what the Grindhouse Package is? In simple terms its a Combo (Double Bill) of two movies (Rodriguez's Planet Terror and Tarantino's Death Proof) which are linked together by a few fictional movie trailers. Grindhouse is a tribute to the 80's era of horror and thriller movies and gives a similar 80's movie watching feel.
As I mentioned in one of my previous reviews about Tarantino's Death Proof with which I was highly disappointed; Planet Terror on the other hand is simply a mind blowing action-horror movie. Its got the babes, the guns, the monsters, the bikes and especially "Cherry Darling" to watch out for. Plot is simple.. people turn into monster when they inhale some nuclear shit gas.
It's now left to a few hunks and babes to save the earth from these creepy monsters. The movie is a pure entertainer and wont let you down and any point. The movie trailers in between the movies are also hilarious. Its a must watch for Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino fans. You might want to leave out Tarantino's Death Proof though but Planet Terror is a must watch.
My Rating: Not Bad (for Planet Terror only.. Tarantino's Death Proof sucked)
