To prevent spillover into Delhi, security on border routes has been stepped up with barricades and patrols. Several teams have been deployed on motorable roads connecting Noida to Delhi, especially at border points with Uttar Pradesh, to prevent any flare-ups and to ensure rapid response if needed.
Rapid response teams, paramilitary forces and additional personnel have been stationed to respond swiftly to any untoward incident. Officials say Delhi Police are fully alert and vigilant, coordinating with their UP counterparts to maintain order and safety in the capital.
The clashes have impacted thousands of commuters, with long lines of vehicles at crossings and heavy jams on roads into the capital. Authorities caution residents to avoid non-essential travel and follow official advisories as the situation remains vigilantly monitored.
Officials urged calm and peaceful conduct from protesters, reiterating that law and order will be enforced strictly and that no one will be allowed to breach the peace.
