Ishan Kishan's Historic Double Ton Rocks Duleep Trophy Final!

In a breathtaking display of cricketing prowess, East Zone captain Ishan Kishan etched his name in history books by smashing a monumental double century in the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone. This remarkable feat, achieved on Day 2 of the final, makes him only the fifth batter ever to score 200 or more runs in the Duleep Trophy's ultimate showdown.

Kishan, who started the day at 111 not out, continued his aggressive yet composed batting style. His innings, a masterclass of 200 runs from 270 deliveries, was adorned with 26 powerful fours and 2 towering sixes. This stellar performance not only put East Zone in a commanding position but also marked Kishan's completion of 4000 first-class runs, showcasing his growing stature in domestic cricket.

The left-hander's double ton came at a crucial juncture.

East Zone had found themselves in a tricky situation at 147 for three, but Kishan, alongside other valuable contributions, skillfully steered his team out of trouble. His partnership with Kumar Kushagra, who also scored a century (101), was instrumental in building a formidable total.

Earlier in the innings, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (44), Abhimanyu Easwaran (72), and Shikhar Mohan (85) had also played significant roles in setting a strong foundation. Kishan's innings was a blend of aggression and composure, featuring powerful pulls and imperious drives.
