Nscale: AI Compute Giant Targets $3.5B Pre-IPO Boost & Massive Growth

Nscale, a British AI infrastructure company established just two years ago, is making headlines with its ambitious plans to go public as early as later this month. Ahead of this highly anticipated IPO, the company is reportedly in advanced talks to secure an additional $3.5 billion in funding.

Bloomberg's recent report indicates that Nscale aims to raise $1.5 billion through convertible notes, a financial instrument that can later be converted into company stock, from a group of investors.

Concurrently, the firm is also seeking a significant $2 billion in financing from tech giant Nvidia.

Nvidia has already shown strong confidence in Nscale, having participated in its Series B funding round in March, which saw Nscale raise $1.1 billion.

That round, led by investment fund Aker, was lauded by Nscale as "the largest Series B in European history." The company's impressive financial trajectory began with its Series A round in December of 2024, where it secured $155 million. The rapid growth of Nscale is emblematic of the current fervent enthusiasm surrounding AI, where advanced compute infrastructure has become a crucial and competitive commodity.

Further cementing its position as a major player in the AI landscape, Nscale recently inked a colossal deal with Anthropic, estimated to be worth approximately $45 billion. Following this agreement, reports surfaced earlier this week, citing The Information, that Nscale has been informing potential investors of an astounding $103 billion in projected revenue.

It's important to note that this figure represents a projection based on signed customer leases, rather than current sales, highlighting the immense future potential investors see in the AI infrastructure provider.
