The shocking incident prompted an official response at the highest level, with Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal announcing swift administrative action against officers involved. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dinesh Chandra Tripathi was removed, and Sachendi Station House Officer Vikram Singh was suspended for lapses and alleged distortions in case records. Deenanath Mishra was given charge of the Sachendi Police Station as the investigation proceeded under Additional DCP Kapil Dev Singh.
