North West Rocks Chicago Stage! Kim & Kanye Reunite for Daughter's Debut

The spotlight was firmly on North West this past Saturday as the 13-year-old talent made her solo concert debut at Chicago's historic The Vic Theatre. Her performance drew a notable audience, including her famous parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who were there to support their daughter, albeit from opposite ends of the venue.

Kim Kardashian, the reality television star, was spotted watching the show from a seated balcony area, while controversial rapper Kanye West stood on the opposite side of the theatre. The pair, who parted ways in 2021 after seven years of marriage, maintained their distance but were united in cheering for North's big night, according to fan videos circulating online.

North delivered an energetic performance, showcasing all six tracks from her 11-minute debut EP, "N0rth4evr," which she released in May. The setlist included fan favorites like “Piercing On My Hand” and “W0ah.” She also treated the audience to an unreleased song that creatively sampled her father’s 2008 hit, “Coldest Winter.” Dressed in an all-white outfit and accompanied by a group of backing dancers, North commanded the stage against a gothic-inspired backdrop.

This one-off concert came after North had to cancel her previously scheduled 14-date summer tour last month.

The tour, which was planned to run from August 5 in Dallas to August 27 in Los Angeles alongside 21-year-old rapper Molly Santana, was abruptly called off just days before its inaugural show.

Despite her budding music career, North has also expressed a surprisingly down-to-earth ambition. In an interview with Dazed magazine in August, she shared her desire for a more typical job. “I still wanna work.

I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year.

I think I can next year 'cause I'm gonna be 14, so… I think I can,” she stated, adding, “I want to have a regular job, I guess.” North was just 12 years old when she dropped her debut EP and later made a surprise appearance on stage with Molly Santana at the Rolling Loud festival in Orlando.
