With more than 20 minutes left on the clock, it looked like a French comeback was truly on the cards, much to the delight of the local fans.
However, England's experience shone through when it mattered most. A brilliantly executed wrap-around move created a gap for Breach, who streaked away to score a crucial try that silenced the stadium. Even as France continued to put in massive hits, their momentum was halted when a high tackle saw them reduced to 14 players for the final stretch of the match.
The atmosphere in Bordeaux was electric, and at times, quite hostile. England's players faced plenty of jeers from the stands, but they kept their composure. While France managed a late consolation try through Rose Bernadou, the damage was already done. England’s depth of talent and incredible togetherness saw them through to another historic triumph, cementing their place at the top of European rugby.
