Stewart quipped that it takes a certain kind of 'balls' to fly all the way to a rival superpower's home just to tell them no one is better than they are.
The real kicker for Stewart was the lack of tangible results. While most diplomatic trips aim for trade concessions, help with international tensions like Iran, or access to rare earth metals, Trump claimed his biggest achievement was the 'relationship' itself. Stewart mocked this outcome, suggesting that after flying thousands of miles to confront a geopolitical rival, Trump returned with essentially nothing more than a spot on Xi's 'Close Friends' list on Instagram.
The comedian grew more serious toward the end of his monologue, questioning the logic of the current administration's foreign policy skills. Stewart didn't mince words, expressing genuine bewilderment at how a leader could return from such a significant trip empty-handed. 'He should not have this job, and yet he does,' Stewart concluded, leaving his audience to ponder the reality of international negotiations in the modern era.
