Honda Launches 2026 City Facelift and ZR-V Hybrid SUV in India

Honda Cars India has officially turned up the heat in the automotive market by launching the much-anticipated 2026 Honda City facelift and debuting the all-new ZR-V e:HEV premium hybrid SUV. This double launch represents the company's most significant product offensive in years, signaling a clear shift toward hybrid technology and high-end features.

The legendary Honda City, a household name for sedan lovers, has received a fresh lease of life. Starting at an attractive price of ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base SV MT variant, the facelifted model goes all the way up to ₹20.99 lakh for the top-tier strong-hybrid version. The new design is noticeably sharper, featuring a revised front fascia, a trendy connected front light bar, and Blade Eye LED headlamps. To top it off, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a sleek Crystal Black Pearl color option give it a truly modern road presence.

Inside, Honda hasn't held back. The 2026 City now boasts a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and, most importantly for Indian summers, ventilated front seats. Safety is also a major focus, with the Honda SENSING ADAS suite becoming standard across more variants. This includes smart tech like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Collision Mitigation Braking. Drivers will also appreciate the new 360-degree camera and USB-C charging ports, making the cabin a tech-forward space.

Under the hood, you can choose between the reliable 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or the advanced e:HEV strong-hybrid setup. While the petrol manual delivers a solid 17.77 km/l, the hybrid version is the real efficiency champion, offering a claimed 27.26 km/l. It is perfect for those who want luxury without worrying too much about the fuel bill.

But the City wasn't the only star of the show. Honda also took the wraps off the ZR-V e:HEV SUV. Positioned as a premium offering, the ZR-V is set to arrive in India as a completely built-up unit. This SUV is designed to cater to the growing demand for premium hybrids, combining SUV practicality with Honda’s efficient dual-motor hybrid system. With these two launches, Honda is making it clear that they are ready to reclaim their spot at the top of the premium car segment in India.
