Mamata Hits Back at Shah: 'You Should Be Charge Sheeted' Over Victim Card
Mamata Banerjee rebuts Amit Shah's 'victim card' jab, hints at a conspiracy and blasts a new charge sheet against her government during a rally in Manbazar.
Banerjee, addressing a Trinamool-Congress rally in Manbazar, Purulia district, fired back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his claim that she has relied on the so-called 'victim card'. She warned that there could be a conspiracy against her life and asked, 'Who are you to file a charge sheet? You should be charge sheeted.'
Shah had released a 'charge sheet' against Banerjee's government, asserting that she has habitually played the politics of the victim card and that Bengal voters have understood it.
Banerjee defended her 2021 leg injury, recounting how she toured Bengal in a wheelchair with a cast and demanding an examination of medical reports. 'Are they planning to kill me now? Why else would he make a statement like that?' she asked, arguing that such remarks point to a conspiracy and character assassination.
The clash highlights a heated political duel as elections approach, with both sides trading accusations about accountability, injuries, and the use of the so-called victim card.
