SFX supervisor Vishal Tyagi explained that the sequence was shot without any CGI, and the crew burned through 500 litres of petrol to create the jaw-dropping effect. The aim was to deliver authentic chaos, something director Aditya Dhar insisted on, giving the team complete creative freedom to make the moment feel tangible.
The production team faced serious safety concerns, especially since the flames had to be fierce enough to read as authentic, yet controlled enough to keep the stars safe. The crew meticulously briefed Ranveer Singh on where to walk and when to pause, ensuring he remained in the right frame while the tanker erupted behind him. It was a delicate balance between risk and realism, achieved only through careful planning and real-time adjustments on set.
Ranveer Singh, who starred prominently in the shot, reportedly faced the greater risk among the performers but remained unfazed, well-briefed by the team.
