Kemi Badenoch has revived her call for a privileges committee inquiry into Keir Starmer, arguing Labour MPs should not block the probe. Speaking to Sky News during a visit to Leonardo Helicopters in Basildon, she said the prime minister has misled parliament and that the full due process had not been followed on Mandelson's vetting. She asserted there is information that doesn’t add up and said Parliament is the right place to hold Starmer to account, urging Labour MPs to consider conscience over party lines. Badenoch noted that an inquiry would create work for the handful of MPs on the privileges committee, but she insisted accountability matters for the country.
