The Ernakulam Sessions Court in Kerala will pronounce its judgment on December 8, 2025, in the high-profile actor rape case that has rocked the Malayalam film industry. Actor Dileep is an accused in the case, alleged to have hatched a conspiracy with the first accused, N.S. Sunil, aka Pulsar Suni, who allegedly raped a woman actor in a moving car on February 17, 2017, and reportedly recorded the act on a mobile phone.
Trial began in 2018 and has seen repeated interruptions as petitions were filed in higher courts. The COVID-19 lockdown caused further delays, while a revelation by filmmaker Balachandrakumar that he witnessed visuals of the alleged rape at Dileep's Aluva residence contributed to the investigations.
