Last week, while live-streaming from a fair in Tonka, armed men interrupted her feed and accused her of informing the army about jihadist movements. They forced her onto a motorbike and took her away, leaving family and fans stunned by the abrupt kidnapping.
The next day, she was brought back to Independence Square in Tonka and shot dead in front of her family and hundreds of onlookers. Witnesses say the public killing was meant to serve as a warning to others who post online in support of the government or share information online.
