Bihar Horror: Speeding Car Kills 5 During Kirtan, Locals Protest!

A devastating tragedy struck Supaul, Bihar, late Tuesday night when a speeding car veered off NH 327E, mercilessly running over a group of devotees performing kirtan by the roadside. The horrific incident near Kataiya Chowk, under the Pipra police station area, claimed the lives of five individuals and left several others injured, sending shockwaves through the community.

Police reported that the driver of the car, coming from Pipra side, allegedly lost control, ramming into the unsuspecting group. Three victims, Tilo Das, Rajo Das, and Surendra Yadav, died instantly at the scene.

The injured were immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital, where two more individuals succumbed to their injuries.

One of the critically injured, Krishna Shah, was later referred to a higher medical center for advanced treatment, battling for life. The catastrophic event plunged the area into chaos and panic. Distraught locals quickly gathered, blocking the highway in a furious protest, demanding accountability and justice for the lives lost.

Police personnel arrived swiftly to manage the crowd and restore vehicular movement, facing intense grief and anger from the victims' families, who created a commotion at Sadar Hospital. JDU MLA from Supaul, Ramvilas Kamat, expressed profound sorrow over the incident, calling it distressing.

He assured the public that authorities are thoroughly investigating the circumstances leading to the accident, including any potential negligence.
