Massive Landslide Strikes Sikkim's Mangan, Rivers Partially Blocked

A massive landslide struck Sikkim's Mangan district in the early hours of Sunday, September 6, 2026, causing significant disruption and partially blocking the flow of two vital rivers. The incident occurred along a newly cut section of the Naga-Tosa Road in the Naga Forest area, directly opposite the Theng Tunnel, near the confluence of the Teesta and Chyakoong rivers in the Chungthang subdivision.
