The results for the Kerala Plus Two higher secondary examinations are officially out, bringing a wave of celebration across the state. This year, the overall pass percentage stands at a solid 77.97%, reflecting the hard work and dedication of students across various districts. Among the highlights, Kollam district recorded an impressive pass percentage of 78.79%, while Thiruvananthapuram also showed a notable performance and growth.
In Thiruvananthapuram district, 72.97% of the students who appeared for the exam are now eligible for higher studies. This marks a positive trend compared to last year’s pass percentage of 71.73%. Out of the 30,585 regular students from 175 schools in the district, 22,318 successfully qualified. Even more impressive is the rise in top achievers, with 2,564 students securing an A+ grade in all subjects, up from 2,371 last year.
Success was also celebrated at the institutional level, as four schools in the capital district achieved a perfect 100% pass rate. These include the Government VHSS for the Deaf in Jagathy, Nirmala Bhavan EM HSS in Kowdiar, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya HSS in Nalanchira, and Carmel Girls HSS in Vazhuthacaud. It is a moment of immense pride for these institutions as every single one of their students qualified for higher education.
Individual excellence reached its peak with 14 students in the district scoring a perfect 1200 out of 1200. These brilliant minds come from various schools including Government Girls HSS in Cotton Hill, Manacaud, Nedumangad, and Neyyattinkara, among others. Their perfect scores serve as an inspiration to the upcoming batches of students across the state.
However, the results also highlighted areas for improvement. The technical school category in Thiruvananthapuram saw a sharp decline, with a pass percentage of 68% compared to a much higher 89.29% last year. Additionally, no student in this specific category managed to secure an A+ in all subjects this time around.
