Raymond Limited's shares witnessed a significant surge on Tuesday, climbing 8.32% to Rs 1,086. This impressive rally was fueled by the announcement that its aerospace subsidiary has secured substantial multi-programme orders from a leading Indian aerospace and defense major.
These new orders are quite extensive, covering more than 300 different part numbers.
These include precision-machined, casting, and structural components designed for various aircraft applications.
The annual volume of these components is projected to exceed 37,000 units, translating into an estimated annual business potential of around Rs 33 crore.
Production under these new programmes is slated to commence progressively during 2026 and 2027.
The order win is a strategic triumph for Raymond, as it significantly strengthens its presence across multiple segments of the aerospace manufacturing value chain. This includes precision machining, aerospace castings, structural components, and complex assemblies.
According to Rakesh Tiwary, Group Chief Financial Officer, Raymond Limited, this move is perfectly aligned with the company's strategy to optimize its product mix and improve profit margins.
Furthermore, this development marks a crucial expansion into India's burgeoning domestic aerospace ecosystem.
Historically, Raymond's aerospace business has been predominantly export-led, so this new business diversifies its customer base within India.
The order also showcases the company's robust manufacturing capabilities across various critical areas.
From a market perspective, Raymond's stock has been on a strong upward trajectory, gaining approximately 25% over the past week and nearly 69% over the last month. Following Tuesday's rally, the company's market capitalization reached approximately Rs 6,677 crore, with the stock trading close to its 52-week high.
This combination of a fresh aerospace order win, strong recent price momentum, and increased participation in India's domestic aerospace manufacturing ecosystem has firmly placed Raymond stock in the spotlight for investors.
