The incident unfolded around 3 pm when Gurwinder was leaving the court after a hearing in an opium recovery case and was fatally struck by multiple rounds fired at him as he approached his car. He died on the spot, and his wife, who was with him at the time, described the moment as chaotic as the attackers fled the scene.
Mohali police have booked Goldy Brar in connection with the murder of Gurwinder Singh. The development comes amid ongoing threats reportedly directed at Gurwinder, with social media posts and unverified claims linking Brar to the case. Gurwinder was a resident of Rurka Pukhta village in Mohali's Sadar Kharar area, and his killing has intensified concerns about gang-related violence in the region.
Gurwinder’s wife has alleged that he had received threats from Goldy Brar, a claim reflected in a circulating post that purported to claim responsibility for the attack.
