2026 PG Counselling: Option Entries & Allotment Results Rolling Out!
Big news for PG aspirants! Karnataka PGCET & Telangana PGECET 2026 option entries are open, while UPTAC Round 1 seat allotment results are out. Stay updated on key dates!
A busy period has begun for postgraduate aspirants across India, with several state-level counselling processes for the 2026 academic year seeing crucial developments. From option entries opening in Karnataka and Telangana to seat allotment results being declared in Uttar Pradesh, students are advised to stay vigilant and complete their formalities on time.
For those eyeing postgraduate courses in Karnataka, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially commenced the first-round option entry for Karnataka PGCET 2026. Candidates who have successfully verified their documents can now log in to the KEA portal and start selecting their preferred colleges and courses. This is a critical window, as the choices made during this period will determine their seat allotment. Students must ensure they carefully review their options before the submission deadline, which is vital for securing a seat in their desired program.
Similarly, in Telangana, the Phase 1 web options for Telangana PGECET 2026 have also started. Administered by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), this phase allows eligible candidates to exercise their choices online. Aspiring students are urged to refer to the official schedule to understand the last date for submitting their web options and to anticipate the release of the seat allotment list. Timely submission is paramount to avoid missing out on potential admissions.
Meanwhile, students who participated in the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 have received their Round 1 seat allotment results. The results are now available on the official counselling portal of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Candidates must promptly check their allotment status. Following the result, they will need to decide whether to 'Freeze' their allocated seat, indicating acceptance, or 'Float' if they wish to be considered for an upgrade in subsequent rounds while retaining their current seat. Necessary steps like online document verification and fee payment must be completed within the stipulated deadlines to confirm their admission or eligibility for further rounds.
These ongoing counselling processes highlight the dynamic nature of admissions for the 2026 academic session. Students are strongly advised to regularly visit the respective official websites, KEA, TSCHE, and AKTU, for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding counselling schedules, subsequent rounds, and any new notifications. Missing a deadline could significantly impact their admission prospects.
