Viral Video: Hindutva Leader Assaults Students at Jantar Mantar Protest!
Shocking footage shows a Hindutva nationalist leader, Satyam Pandit, verbally abusing and physically assaulting students at a Jantar Mantar protest. Calls for immediate arrest intensify as the video goes viral.
A disturbing video has gone viral on social media, capturing a man verbally abusing and physically assaulting students at the recent Jantar Mantar protests. The incident, which occurred a day after the 'Cockroach Janta Party' protest was called off, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for swift action.
The man in the video has been identified as Satyam Pandit, reportedly a Hindutva nationalist based in Ghaziabad. Dressed in a white kurta and a saffron scarf, Pandit is seen confronting two students, questioning their affiliations and names. When one student states he is Hindu, Pandit aggressively asks why they are supporting “this party (seemingly Cockroach Janta Party)” which he claims is backing “anti-national students.”
The confrontation escalated dramatically as Pandit is heard verbally abusing the students before grabbing one by the collar and hitting him. Despite the student’s attempts to defend himself, Pandit then forces him to look into the camera and apologize. He further threatens the student, warning of severe consequences if he is seen near the protest site again, stating, “Dikhega aj ke baad? Bhot maarunga (Will you be seen after this? I'll beat you up).” The video is riddled with verbal abuses throughout.
The shocking footage was widely shared by prominent political figures, including Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, both of whom have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. Akhilesh Yadav criticized the incident, suggesting it reflects poorly on certain political affiliations.
It remains unconfirmed whether the students involved are minors or adults, and the exact timing of the video’s recording is also unclear. Hindustan Times has stated it could not independently verify the authenticity of the clip.
