Modi: Trust your study pattern, skip mindless gaming
Modi urges PPC attendees to follow their learning pace, curb online distractions, and build life and study skills for lasting success.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students at the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, held in Assam, urging young minds to trust their own study pattern rather than chasing every online tip. He reminded students that data is plentiful online, but time for genuine learning is precious, and education should not feel like a burden. The PM called for total involvement in the learning process and cautioned that a half-hearted effort rarely yields success.
Our goal, he said, should be within reach but not easily attainable. He urged students to tame the mind, then connect with it, and choose the subjects they truly need to study. By embracing a personal rhythm, he argued, students can stay aligned with their goals without burning out, rather than blindly following generic advice. The message emphasized individual patterns — what works for one may not work for another — and the importance of sticking to a pattern while being open to beneficial counsel.
On the digital front, Modi cautioned against using gaming purely to pass the time, even though he acknowledged that gaming can refine speed and alertness. He advised against gaming for money and noted that online gambling is illegal. Still, he recognized gaming as a skill when used constructively for self-development, not as a substitute for focused study.
The PM also reflected on his own approach, noting that while he began with a certain pattern for Pariksha Pe Charcha, he has gradually evolved his method without abandoning the core principles. The overarching takeaway was clear: there is no one-size-fits-all formula. Students should craft a personal study pattern that complements their life and learning style.
As examinations approach, Modi’s remarks stress a balanced, self-aware, and disciplined approach to study, digital use, and personal growth, with a hopeful message that each student can design a path to success by honoring their unique rhythm.
