MPSC Chairman Under Fire: Raut & Dipke Back Student Protests!
Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Sanjay Raut and CJP's Abhijeet Dipke join MPSC aspirants in demanding the chairman's removal and urgent reforms. Will the government listen?
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut and CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke have thrown their full support behind Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants who are fiercely agitating for the removal of the commission’s chairman and crucial reforms. Meeting with protesters, both leaders urged the students to stand firm on their demands, emphasizing that their voices must reach Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, whom Raut accused of "pretending to be deaf."
Thousands of students from across Maharashtra have taken to the streets, ready to face arrest, to press for their demands. Mr.
Raut likened the ongoing agitation to "Jantar Mantar of Maharashtra," a symbolic place for sustained protests until demands are met.
He stressed that the core demand is a complete cleansing of the MPSC, from top to bottom, questioning how a government that struggles to conduct fair polls can ensure fair examinations.
Raut also alleged that the government is attempting to divide the protesting students rather than engage in meaningful dialogue with their representatives. He challenged the CM's claim that all demands have been accepted, pointing out the continued protests as clear evidence to the contrary.
Furthermore, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader raised concerns about attempts to install individuals with a particular ideology into key administrative positions, warning of a "white-collar mafia" at play.
The protest in Pune has garnered significant attention, with NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar also supporting the aspirants. Mr.
Raut expressed confidence that the youth's determination would eventually lead to the ousting of those opposing their just demands.
He warned that if the MPSC agitation spreads across Maharashtra, it could pose a significant challenge for the Chief Minister, potentially making it difficult for him to even leave his official residence in Mumbai. Despite a planned visit, Aaditya Thackeray was unable to attend due to illness but is expected to show his support soon.
