Packers Surge to NFC No. 2 Seed After 28-21 Win Over Bears

The Green Bay Packers vaulted into the NFC’s No. 2 seed after a 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, moving up from No. 6 and into first in the NFC North. Head coach Matt LaFleur kept the focus on the process, saying, "It means nothing right now ... there’s four weeks left and you’ve got to take it day by day. Quarterback Jordan Love echoed the sentiment, adding, "Obviously, we’ve still got a couple weeks left here, but it’s all about finishing. We’re here, we’ve been here before, but we’ve got to finish it."

Statistically, Green Bay’s remaining four opponents are a combined 31-21, one of the stronger schedules among teams in the playoff hunt. That looming slate will test every phase of the Packers as they push to secure a higher seed or even host if the path clears.

Beyond the seed chase, the team is motivated by the chance to host postseason games at Lambeau Field, something they haven’t done in a few years. The journey remains far from easy, but the weekend win gave Packers fans a reason to believe the stretch run might lean in their favor.

Next up: a road test at Denver, where Green Bay will look to keep rolling and maintain its momentum as the calendar turns toward January.
