Navi Mumbai Airport launches digital-first passenger help with free Wi-Fi
Navi Mumbai International Airport unveils free high-speed Wi‑Fi and a digital-first Adani OneApp to guide travelers with real-time updates and terminal info.
NMIA is set to begin commercial operations on December 25 with a digital-first passenger communication system and free high-speed Wi-Fi across the terminal. Passengers connecting to the airport's Wi-Fi will receive real-time updates via the Adani OneApp, which acts as a virtual assistant guiding travellers through key touchpoints at the terminal. The goal is to reduce reliance on physical information counters and static display boards while offering personalised, timely updates. Adani OneApp will also provide information on food and beverage outlets, retail stores, lounges and other terminal facilities, helping travellers plan their time at the airport.
NMIA will offer free Wi-Fi speeds of up to 10 Mbps across the terminal. The network is designed for high throughput and stability even during peak traffic, supporting messaging, digital payments, app-based cab bookings, emails, streaming and video calls. The airport has partnered with BSNL to deploy mobile network services, a collaboration that aligns with a Made in India connectivity push. BSNL will provide voice and data services for passengers, airport staff and operations, complementing the Wi‑Fi.
Developed as Mumbai's second airport, NMIA is rolling out in phases with an initial set of flights before expanding to full operations. The connectivity plan underscores the vision of turning Navi Mumbai into one of Asia's biggest aviation hubs and showcases indigenous telecom infrastructure developed by C-DoT, Tejas Networks and TCS. The initiative promises a smoother travel experience with integrated digital tools, while keeping passengers connected through a single, seamless digital ecosystem.
