With counting hours left in Bihar, rival camps are rolling out posters outside party offices in Patna. One poster outside the JD(U) office features Nitish Kumar with the bold tagline “Tiger abhi zinda hai” and casts him as the protector of all communities, signaling the ruling coalition’s push to keep Kumar in the chief minister’s chair for a record stretch. The message aims to showcase Kumar’s reach across backward classes, lower castes and women, as the coalition eyes a fourth term in the state.
Another poster surfaced outside the RJD office, reading “Alvida Chacha” (Goodbye Uncle), a sharper dig at the current leadership and a sign of the high-stakes post-poll rhetoric. The poster was reportedly put up by the Samajwadi Party, reflecting the fractious but fervent campaign atmosphere as results loom.
As Bihar votes, Tejashwi Yadav has repeatedly argued that Nitish Kumar’s grip may be waning and has challenged the JD(U)’s leadership claims, even as exit polls point to a comfortable NDA edge. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other NDA leaders have sought to project unity around Kumar’s leadership, attempting to clear the air before the final verdict. Counting is scheduled for tomorrow, with results expected on November 14, keeping both camps on edge about the final fate of the coalition dynamics in the state.
