Puja says she managed to free herself and alerted authorities using another phone.

A separate note from local records indicates a case had been registered last year against Puja Khedkar and her husband in connection with the abduction of a truck driver following a road-rage incident in Navi Mumbai. Puja has denied those allegations, asserting they are unrelated to the current incident.
