Banks is suing not only Netflix but also 89 Blocks Holdings, EverWonder Studio, Netflix Music, and co-directors Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan. The legal action includes claims of false light, defamation by implication, breach of contract, and false endorsement.
According to Banks, her testimony was reassembled in "Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model" to support a "false and defamatory narrative" that did not reflect her actual statements or intentions. She asserts that a significant portion of her conversation, focusing on the accountability aspects of the show, was notably absent from the final cut.
