In a 2011 email addressed to 'The Duke' — whose address is redacted — Epstein writes: 'these stories are complete and utter fantasy, I don't know and have never met Al Gore, Clinton was never on the island,' a line that has been cited in discussions about Clinton's alleged island trips.
A 2015 email to former New York Times reporter Landon Thomas Jr. shows Epstein pushing back on a victim's allegations about Clinton's presence, claiming that 'Clinton was NEVER EVER there, never,' and suggesting that the claims were intended to 'punch a hole' in accusations targeting Dershowitz and Andrew. The same year, another redacted recipient is shown noting, 'Presidents at dinner on Caribbean islands. (Clinton was never ever there, easy to confirm).'
A 2016 message to journalist Michael Wolff repeats the denial, 'Clinton was never on the island' and 'he never met' former Vice President Al Gore, reinforcing Epstein's pattern of disputing those specific claims.
Beyond Clinton, the files also touch on Epstein's relationship with Trump, with emails detailing discussions about their past interactions, though the messages do not establish a clear or proven link. Analysts caution that these are communications one person sent to others and do not constitute independent corroboration of the broader allegations.
