Which Bollywood star stole the show at the Zee Cine Awards?

On May 17th, the city of dreams by the Arabian sea witnessed a dazzling night of glitz and glamour at the 23rd edition of Zee Cine Awards. It featured star-studded performances and glamorous appearances by the celebrities.

Celebs like Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff, Rasha Thadani, Rashmika Mandanna, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Jacqueline Fernandez all performed spectacularly at the gala event, which Aparshakti Khurana and Vikrant Massey hosted.

Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Stree 2 emerged as the biggest winner of the night, clinching the Viewer’s Choice Award for Best Film. The film’s popular track Aaj Ki Raat was named Viewer’s Choice Best Song.

Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor won the Viewer’s Choice Best Actor and Best Actress awards for their roles in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Stree 2, respectively. Director Amar Kaushik was honoured with the Best Director award for Stree 2.

Gen Z sensation Ananya Pandey clad herself in a pristine ivory saree by Masaba Gupta teamed up with an off-shoulder embellished blouse in gold, the actor perfectly balanced between effortless charm and timeless elegance. 

Kriti Sanon 

And the actor caught our attention yet again while attending the star-studded evening in a deep wine red off-shoulder gown by Gaurav Gupta. She looked like a diva and won the Best Actress In A Comic Role award for Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.

Jacqueline Fernandez 

After serving back to back hit looks at Cannes 2025, Jacqueline is back in the town and on the dreamy night of the Zee Cine Awards, she chose to wear a black mermaid gown featuring a ribbed structure, and stole the limelight. She accessorized with a necklace and left her hair open.

Shanaya Kapoor 

Giving her usual Gen Z-coded dressing a break, Shanaya Kapoor leaned towards a embroidered sheer saree paired with a sequinned bralette blouse by designer Sabyasachi.

Sharvari 

Sharvari incorporated the big, sensual coquettecore vibes with her strapless deep-neck gown. Her bodice featured a giant bow, and her gown grazed the floor and cascaded down into a column skirt.  

Vikrant Massey

Vikrant opted for a classic suit, with reports suggesting that the look is inspired by his role in an upcoming biopic on Ravi Shankar.

Tiger Shroff

Fitness icon Tiger Shroff appeared dapper in a Nehru-jacket-style coat suit, accessorized with sunglasses and a watch.

Kartik Aryan 

Kartik Aryan scored big this year by bagging the best actor award for his leading role in Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. But that’s not all; he even earned points for slaying a dapper look in an all-black suit, turning heads and making his women fans go all gaga over him yet again. 

Rasha Thadani 

Draped in a mint green saree made of nude net drape and dipped in sequins, Rasha Thadani showed us how to slay in a traditional six-yard without overdoing it.

Rashmika Mandana

Rashmika Mandana dazzled in a contemporary black saree featuring a deep sweetheart neckline and a sheer net waist design. She paired the look with minimal yet chic golden heart-shaped earrings, complemented by brown-toned makeup. With her hair left open in a centre-parted style, Rashmika embodied effortless grace.

Witnessing the array of styles at the Zee Cine Awards 2025 was a visual delight. Each celebrity brought their unique style to the red carpet, but I couldn't help but notice a recurring pattern in the fashion choices. The same old corset sarees and fishtail gowns while undeniably beautiful, but they really need a break from Bollywood now because they seem overused and predictable on the red carpet. Please do something new, Bollywood!!!
