In practical terms, the 5 kg cylinders will now be around Rs 649, with the Rs 51 increase nudging prices toward the Rs 700 mark. 19 kg cylinders show even larger jumps, with city-specific hikes reaching as much as Rs 218 in places like Kolkata and Chennai. Availability for larger cylinders remains a concern in many markets, while smaller 5 kg bottles are more widely stocked.
