Yash-starrer Toxic delayed to June amid Middle East tensions

Kannada film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, was originally scheduled to release on March 19, 2026. The project is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The release has been postponed to June 4, 2026 due to ongoing volatile escalation and regional instability in the Middle East. The decision follows advice from a major distribution partner and reflects concerns about disruptions to cinema operations across the Gulf region, a key market for the film’s multi-language global rollout.

In a joint statement, the producers explained that they have been closely monitoring rapidly evolving regional developments and decided to reschedule in the interest of their partners and audience. They emphasized that the postponement is a careful step to preserve the film’s reach and connect with the widest possible audience.

The film, described as a period gangster drama set in Goa, features Yash alongside an ensemble including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Suta. A trailer launch had been planned for March 8, 2026 in Bengaluru, ahead of the original release. The delay comes amid a broader scheduling climate in Indian cinema where global markets and regional operations are affected by geopolitical tensions and market dynamics.
