Alison Hammond Rushes to Hospital After On-Air Exit from 'This Morning'
TV star Alison Hammond sparked concern after leaving 'This Morning' mid-show. Find out why she rushed to hospital for a heart check-up and what she said from her hospital bed!
Popular TV presenter Alison Hammond caused a stir on Friday when she abruptly left the set of ITV's 'This Morning' mid-broadcast, sparking concern among viewers and her co-host, Dermot O'Leary. O'Leary informed audiences after an advert break that Hammond was feeling "a little unwell" and had to "duck out" of the show. Her departure occurred shortly after a segment featuring pets.
Later in the day, Hammond reassured fans by posting a video on social media directly from a hospital bed. In the candid clip, she explained, "I know you're all worried about me.
Honestly, I am fine, first of all.
I'm getting me old ticker checked out. I had a little bit of a palpitation, and now I'm getting it all checked out, but I think I'm okay." She further speculated, "I'm hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that."
Hammond, known for her vibrant personality, also humorously apologised for leaving the show early, something she claimed she would "never" normally do. She even quipped about still looking good despite being in a hospital gown, saying, "Look how good I look! Still got my make-up on from This Morning.
Lush."
The 51-year-old star rose to fame after appearing on 'Big Brother' in 2002 and has since become a beloved fixture on British television, with roles on shows like 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', 'Strictly Come Dancing', and as a co-host on 'This Morning' since 2021.
She also co-hosts 'The Great British Bake Off'.
Her recent health scare comes just a week after she openly discussed her "successful uncoupling" with her ex-partner, the father of her son, Aidan, highlighting the strength of their co-parenting relationship over two decades.
