Emergency services at the scene confirmed the fatalities of a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s. Their next of kin have been informed of the tragic loss.
A third cyclist involved in the collision sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Following the crash, two men, aged 20 and 21, were taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Additionally, a 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
