Rosalía is pulling back the curtain on Lux, her new album due November 7 via Columbia Records. She released the album cover and track list on Monday, and Lux was recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Daníel Bjarnason, who also served as executive producer.
The project is described as tracing a widescreen emotional arc of feminine mystique, transformation, and transcendence, moving between intimate moments and operatic scale to fuse sound, language, and culture. The press release confirms guest appearances from Björk, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Yahritza, and Yves Tumor. The boys choir Escolania de Montserrat i Cor Cambra Palau de la Música Catalana will also be part of the record. Lux is split into four movements. Physical editions include 18 songs, while digital versions contain 15 tracks. Exclusive physicals include Focu Ranni and Jeanne from Movement III, and Novia Robot from Movement IV.
Other track titles mentioned include Porcelana, Mio Cristo, Memória, and La Perla. Unveiled with a Times Square billboard, Rosalía appears in a sheer white veil against a soft blue backdrop with Lux repeated in serif font, and the release date displayed beneath. The project follows a string of standalone singles since Motomami in 2022, as well as collaborations and features like Oral with Björk, LLYM (2022), Tuya (2023), RR with Rauw Alejandro, and more recently collaborations with Lisa on New Woman and Ralphie Choo on Omega.
Lux represents a bold, collaborative leap for Rosalía, blending orchestral grandeur with contemporary voices and languages to create a radiant world where sound, language, and culture fuse as one. The album’s four-movement structure and the inclusion of a diverse roster of artists signal a wide-reaching artistic ambition that builds on her previous work while charting new sonic territory. The first movement opens with the track Sexo, Violencia y Llanta, setting a provocative tone as the project invites listeners into its expansive emotional arc.
