Apple's iPhone Pocket: £220 Limited Edition folds fashion into tech
Apple teams up with Issey Miyake for a limited-edition iPhone Pocket, a 3D-knitted wearable priced at £220 that blends fashion with tech.
Apple has unveiled the iPhone Pocket, a limited-edition accessory created in collaboration with the Japanese fashion label Issey Miyake. Described by Apple as a wearable textile inspired by a 'piece of cloth' and built around the idea of an 'additional pocket,' the pocket is designed to hold an iPhone and other small essentials. The project nods to Miyake's history with Apple, which saw the designer help shape style staples for the company in the past.
In a press release, Apple explained that the iPhone Pocket is a 3D-knitted piece crafted in Japan. The short strap version will be available in eight colours, while the long strap comes in three colours. The accessory is priced at £220 in the UK and is set to launch on November 14, 2025, in select global markets. The device-friendly textile promises to offer glimpses of the screen while expanding to accommodate different devices, merging fashion and practicality in a wearable form.
Reactions online have been mixed. Some users joked that the price is steep for what looks like a cut-up sock, while others praised the collaboration as a bold fusion of fashion and technology. The iPhone Pocket is part of a broader push to blend wearable textiles with everyday gadgets, signaling Apple’s ongoing interest in fashion-forward tech experiences.
