Groww shares climb as State Street backs Groww AMC with Rs 580 crore
Groww surges on strong Q3 growth and a Rs 580 crore investment from State Street Global Advisors into Groww AMC, signaling expansion in India’s fintech asset management.
Groww shares moved higher after the fintech group reported its third-quarter results and announced a strategic investment from State Street Global Advisors. The Bengaluru-based company disclosed that State Street will invest up to Rs 580 crore into Groww Asset Management Limited, through a mix of secondary purchases and fresh primary capital, which could dilute up to 23% of the fully diluted share capital of Groww AMC. Importantly, State Street’s holding will not exceed 4.99% of the aggregate voting power in the subsidiary.
On the quarterly front, Groww’s consolidated revenue from operations rose 25% year-on-year to Rs 1,216 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, up from Rs 975 crore in the same period a year earlier. Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 547 crore for the quarter, down 28% from Rs 757 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA increased 19% to Rs 720 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 59% for the quarter.
Market reaction reflected the dual news of earnings and the strategic stake, with the stock rising about 3.3% to Rs 168.05 intraday. The development underscores a broader push to deepen India-focused wealth management offerings via Groww AMC, as the company leverages international investor support to scale its asset-management business.
Taken together, the investment marks a meaningful milestone for Groww and signals growing interest from global investors in India’s fintech-enabled asset management ecosystem.
