Delhi gears up for Republic Day as the national parade showcases a special Operation Sindoor tableau, recalling a military action aimed at destroying terrorist bases in Pakistan. The event also features tri-services tableaux with mock-ups of major weapon systems deployed during the operation, including the S-400 defence system.
Participating tableaux include Assam - Asharikandi - Terracotta Craft Village of Assam; Chhattisgarh - The Mantra of Freedom - Vande Mataram; Gujarat - Mantra of Swadeshi - Self-Reliance - Freedom: Vande Mataram; Kerala - Water Metro & 100 per cent Digital Literacy; Maharashtra - Ganeshotsav; Manipur - Towards Prosperity; Nagaland - The Hornbill Festival - Celebrating Culture, Tourism & Self-Reliance; Tamil Nadu - Mantra of Prosperity; Ministry of Culture - Vande Mataram - The Soul Cry of a Nation; and Ministry of Information & Broadcasting - Bharat Katha.
Tri-services tableau will display mock-ups of major weapon systems used during Operation Sindoor, including the S-400 air defense system, which has been described in briefings as part of the operation’s capabilities. While details of air defense roles are debated in public discourse, the display underscores the defense architecture India has built and demonstrated in recent years.
