Amarnath Yatra 2026 runs July 3–August 28, with registrations opening April 15 for ages 13-70 at 554 bank branches, plus Rs 10 lakh insurance.
The annual Amarnath Yatra in south Kashmir will commence on July 3 and run for 57 days, ending on August 28. Pilgrims between the ages of 13 and 70 can undertake the yatra, with advance registrations set to begin from April 15. The information was shared by the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Bhavan in Jammu.
Registers will be available at 554 bank branches nationwide, making the process accessible to a broad base of pilgrims. In addition to the registration details, it’s noted that there is an enhanced accident insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh for participants.
The date announcement confirms a well-structured timeline for this year’s pilgrimage, balancing spiritual significance with safety and logistical planning. Pilgrims and supporters should prepare for the registration window opening in mid-April, ahead of the July start date in the valley.
